The Biblical commission "Go into all the World" has broad implications for the Church. It is the Outreach mission who holds up this commission to people of the church and provides a means for the people to respond. Our outreach witness is expressed on three levels: local, denominational and ecumenical.

General Responsibilities

1. Local Benevolence
   1. Maintain a stock of food to help need people in our area
   2. Provide a way for the church to disburse monies in cases of urgent need.
   3. Provide Christian counsel to help people to help themselves to a more secure way of life.
2. WorId Outreach
   1. Initiate programs to help our members become responsible supporters of the total work of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) around the world.
      1. Ensure that Basic Mission Finance is included in budgeted giving.
      2. Inform membership about the Christian Church Outreach program.
      3. Promote and receive "Special Day" offerings at Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
      4. Acquaint members and community with various agencies and institutions doing the outreach. work of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church.
   2. Encourage participation with our denomination groups, such as:
   1. Church World Service
   2. CROP Walk
   3. United Ministries
   4. Council and Conferences of Churches
